Pink Zone

This is a little bit old but I hadn't gotten around to putting it up. Our women's basketball team had a Pink Zone game where they did a lot of work within the school and community for breast cancer awareness.

It was great to see so many of my players there to support the cause, especially because one of their mom's is currently battling breast cancer.

It was a great night that sent both the men's and women's team home with a win over our rival Montana Tech! Go Bulldogs!

a good day

Sometimes it's the little things that make your day the best!
Yup, a whole package of fruit snacks that were purple! Because everyone knows that is the best color for fruit snacks, I was very excited!

gone but not forgotten

During spring break, Mikel and I made a trip to Pocatello to do some recruiting (and it was on the way  to drop Mikel off to go fishing).

We went to a Big Sky Championship women's basketball game while were are there and, while we were walking around in the gym, we saw this plaque.

That's right, Mikel and I were both SSPE students of the year while we were at ISU and there's a plaque so nobody can forget! Go us!

weather

Why does the weather play with my emotions??

The week after spring break (when Mikel was in Oregon fishing) we had some great weather here in Dillon. I didn't have to leave the heater on during they day because we had comfortable days. Sixty degrees in March?! Yes please!

It had been a light winter so far and I knew it was too good to be true but I went with it while it lasted! I love me some sun.

My world of beautiful world of wonderful weather came crashing down this weekend when we got dumped on. We got about 8" of snow on Sunday and it's trying to stick around for awhile.

Good thing it's pretty because, other than that, I'm not a fan!

It's supposed to be back in the 50s and 60s soon and the weather people better not be lying to me!!

fishing in Oregon

Last week Mikel had the opportunity to go fishing with his dad in Oregon. It doesn't take much convincing for Mikel to go for a fishing trip so he was definitely in. They fished for steelhead and sturgeon and besides some rough water at times had a great trip!

He had a blast and brought back a bunch of pictures from the trip.

Mikel got back Friday and he was exhausted but it was a great trip. Mikel was thankful that he was done teaching and could make this trip with his dad!

presents in the mail

I love getting the mail.

I think I inherited this gene from my mom and, although there is very rarely anything fun or exciting in the mail, I always get excited to check (just in case, you know). It's a sad day when we don't get any mail at all (which happens quite a bit).

This week I got an awesome package in the mail! I got a package with a pillow in it from my Grandma Bushman. Apparently, this pillow has been waiting for me for a few/twenty years now and I am so excited!

It's handmade and quickly made it's way onto the couch so I could take a picture.
The fact that it's been around for that long and she still wanted to get it finished and to me means a lot!

THANKS GRANDMA!

pretty day in Dillon

This weekend our friend Sarah was sick so Mikel and I dropped off some groceries for her. Pulling out by her apartment I stopped long enough to see this view.

There's not much in Dillon but there is definitely beautiful scenery...
another pretty day
We are definitely appreciative that we can live in such a beautiful place with great friends and awesome jobs!
