monkeyball

So this past weekend we went to the Monkeyball World Championships. We didn't play because we weren't quite sure what to expect but it was pretty fun! A couple of the people I work with (who work for the Michigan State High School Athletic Association) organize the whole thing and promote it shamelessly year round. I've played the game before but never heard it called Monkeyball; it's also called Ladder Toss, Blongo Ball, Hillbilly Horseshoes, and a bunch of other things. It's a popular tailgating game and, as PE majors, we played it at ISU!

They had about 150 people at the event and, if we're around, we might just play next year! Here are some pictures..
